The Smitch making a huge mistake by going small as well as putting Hump on Dhoward, instead of Rasho.

Raptors VS Orlando (Preview)

The Toronto Raptors flew to Orlando, to face the Orlando Magic today. The Raptors will play their second game without their injuried All Star Chris Bosh who is nursing a sore knee. To top it all of... the Raptors are heading into Orlando with a 2 game losing streak.

Dwight Howard is one of the best rebounders in the league and speaking about rebounding, the Raptors are... lets' just say not so good (being nice). Well, they better rebound tonight, or else this will be another disappointing loss, UNLESS they "out-score" their opponents, which is how this team is built, unfortunately, they really haven't been doing that.

... Jose Calderon has been in a funk lately, not sure what to make of it, perhaps all the playing time he's been getting with TJ out has caught up to him? I don't know, but he better break out of this funk soon, or we are in trouble. TJ is still trying to get back to where he was, but it will take time.

Andrea Barganani will have to be key in keeping this team in the top 5, especially with CB4 out. Anyway... My Keys To The Game?

[Bosh To Miss 1 Week With Sore Knee]

Chris Bosh will miss one week of action for the Toronto Raptors because of a sore knee, according to Toronto's FAN 590.

He will travel with the team on their three-game road trip, but will likely miss games against the Bobcats, Magic and Heat. "Our thinking right now, unless something happens different, is not to even play him these next three games," Mitchell told the station. "We've played without Chris before, and to our guys credit we've found a way to win."

[Raps Hire John Lucus]

The Toronto Raptors announced Friday they have hired John Lucas as a basketball development consultant for the remainder of the 2007-08 season. He will assist the coaching staff with the development of the players’ on-court skills.

Lucas, 54, was the first overall pick in the 1976 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets. He played with six teams during his 14-year NBA career from 1976-90. He has also served as a head coach with San Antonio, Philadelphia and Cleveland, as well as an assistant coach with Denver. [Source]

TORONTO - The Toronto Raptors are taking advantage of a favourable portion of the schedule.
In the midst of a stretch in which they play nine of 10 games against teams with losing records, the Raptors (32-24) extended their winning streak to three games with an easy 107-85 victory over the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves (12-44) Wednesday night before a crowd of 18,325 at the Air Canada Centre.

With their eighth win in a row against the Timberwolves, the Raptors improved to a season-high eight games over .500 and held on to fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Timberwolves remain the second-worst team in the league, ahead of only the awful Miami Heat (10-44). [Read More]
